Doing a big clean-out before hosting Thanksgiving? Goodwill has new extended hours: 9 AM - 9 PM every day of the week for both donating and shopping! Plus, Peninsula Humane Society needs gently used towels and blankets.
We're hurtling into the holidays now that Halloween is over! So many festive events to come (stay tuned!), but for now here's a sneak peek with Letters to Santa programs:

Belmont Letters to Santa | Nov 3 - Dec 8 | Info Youth can write to the North Pole and get a free personalized response! Drop off at Santa's mailbox or USPS mail Attn: Santa Claus!

Foster City Letters to Santa | Nov 17 - Dec 5 | Info Drop letters in the magical North Pole mailbox or USPS mailbox and wait for Santa's response!

USPS Operation Santa | Info Postmark letters by Dec 6 to Santa's official North Pole address and yes, it is: Santa, 123 Elf Road, North Pole, 88888! Letters are published online (personal info redacted) where adopters can select letters and respond with gifts and notes.

Recently on Instagram, we featured the soft opening of a new indoor playground (with a cafe hangout area for parents!) that my kids loved, a free Santa's Wonderland, and so much more!

Newsletter: An easily scannable, comprehensive list of weekend events with all the details, pro tips, and other news around town.
Instagram: Last-minute events I learn about after the newsletter publishes, select weekday events, event images, real-time updates (like when something reaches capacity—plus fun alternatives!), a subset of newsletter events as easily shareable posts (including a saved weekend highlight of popular ones), reminders of things happening the next day or that day, and pro tips that work better as graphics.
There's some overlap between the two, but they generally serve different purposes. FYI: I'm not an influencer and have zero desire to become one, so the Instagram isn’t fancy—but hopefully you find it helpful and thorough!
