🎬 Cinépolis has Jaws playing Aug 28- Sep 3 for those of us who were too young to experience the trauma in theaters 50 years ago. And although it’s not Christmas-time, they also have $5 tickets to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Aug 30, 31, and Sep 3.

The Bay Area Discovery Museum is amazing for kids of all ages, and they do a free admission day 2x a year! The Klabbit tip includes our favorite place to grab a bite to eat afterwards. Hint: it’s got something for everyone - an onsite pirate ship playground, amazing beer selection, and delicious food!
The multi-day Kings Mountain Art Fair sounds pretty awesome. Nestled in the redwoods, it features "Kiddie Hollow" with supervised art stations and a dedicated parents' retreat area at 2,000 feet elevation.
Have you heard of the Randall Museum in SF? It combines a toddler playroom, animal meet-and-greets, model trains, interactive exhibits, and a hiking trail to Corona Heights with 360-degree views of San Francisco—all completely free.
And another multi-day event, this time in the city... the Whale's Tail sounds like the perfect kid-friendly party in Golden Gate Park—complete with food trucks, music, and it's even pet-friendly!

In addition to exciting events happening this weekend in the City and beyond, here are a couple more day trips for something fun!

Tilden Nature Center + Tilden Steam Train
Meet amazing animal ambassadors, help out in the garden, or get an insider's look at Little Farm life. As the day winds down, help the farm animals settle in for the night. A perfect drop-in experience that is free! Full list of events (search Tilden Nature Area in dropdown).
Then head 15 mins over to the Tilden Steam Train for a ride along a scenic ridge on a scaled-down steam train.

Saturday, August 30

Paint a (real!) Cessna Cardinal, explore open cockpit aircraft, try helicopter checkouts, build paper helicopters and penguin airplanes, and enjoy the jump house!

A 3-day long event. The stunning redwood location features Kiddie Hollow (10am-4pm, $5/child): a dedicated kids' space with a parents’ retreat overlooking the supervised art stations, plus a toddler table w/ games! Artist-displayed exhibit of fine arts plus food and beverages available for purchase. 8-10:30 am breakfast/11:30am-4:30 pm lunch.

Meet snakes, barn owls, tortoises & their keepers! Drop-in event at a free family museum in SF that also includes a toddler playroom, interactive exhibits, and model railroads. The outdoor areas of the Museum feature a picnic area, native gardens, and an observation deck. A hiking trail from the Museum leads to the top of adjacent Corona Heights with 360-degree views of San Francisco and the Bay.

A 2-day long event. Greek food, desserts, live entertainment, dancers, musicians, mythology play, church tours & craft boutiques!

The Whale's Tail transforms JFK Promenade's Golden Mile into a family & dog-friendly party with live music, food trucks, lawn games, plus FREE yoga at 11am! Permanently closed to cars post-pandemic, the promenade features murals, art installations, and public pianos.

2-day event. California's largest Scottish Games with World Championships, Highland dancing, piping, Celtic bands & living history!
